Radius
[edit]Nussun05 told me that the radius of 1,882 R☉ for RX Telescopii was derived from angular diameter and distance and told me that radius, distance and angular diameter came from the Cruzalèbes ref, but I cannot find that value, nor the distance and the angular diameter in the given ref and that ref doesn't even mention the star but Nussun05 told me that came from VizieR. 2A01:E0A:47A:F100:C517:74F8:1E2B:7BFE (talk) 15:53, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
1,897 Rsol
[edit]The radius of 1,897 Rsol came from a distance of 4726.415 parsecs and an angular diameter of 3.734 mas. See here: https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=4726.415+pc*sin%283.734+milliarcseconds%29+in+solar+radii%2F2 Nussun05 (talk) 06:49, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- Got it. You do know that the JSDC isn't actually measured angular diameters, right? They are estimated from photometry. The technique is considered quite accurate overall, certainly for statistical purposes, but perhaps not to be relied on for individual stars. Lithopsian (talk) 18:34, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
